LITECOIN, THE RAIL NOBODY TALKS ABOUT

Addresses begin ltc1 for SegWit, M for wrapped script hashes and L for legacy. Older cashier software occasionally rejects ltc1, which is a wallet compatibility issue rather than anything to do with the coin.
When to reach for it
Mid-sized withdrawals at a cashier that carries it. Two hundred to a thousand dollars is the band where Bitcoin's per-byte fee is annoying, Ethereum's gas is unpredictable, and Litecoin is simply cheap and done in a quarter of an hour.
It is also the sensible choice for a player who wants a native coin rather than a token issued by a company. That preference is legitimate and it costs you nothing here.
