An edge is a rate. It only becomes a number you can feel when it is multiplied by how many decisions an hour the game resolves, and that is where the ranking changes.
Roulette at 2.7 percent looks worse than craps at 1.41 until you count decisions. A roulette wheel resolves about forty five spins an hour and a craps table well over a hundred, which closes most of the gap and in some cases reverses it.
So the useful figure is not the edge, it is the edge multiplied by the pace multiplied by the stake. Every category page on this site prints that number at the top and the ladder underneath it.
The other half of the arithmetic is where this publication is unusual. A cheap game at a cashier that holds your money for three days is a different product from the same game at one that releases in twenty minutes, and the second number is on every row below.

Video poker is the cheapest screen available and the only category where your decisions carry most of the number. Blackjack with basic strategy is next. Baccarat is third and requires nothing of you at all.
Craps sits well if you back the line with free odds and badly if you play the middle of the layout. Roulette is fixed by the wheel and nothing you do at the table changes it.
Side bets across all of them average around eight percent and exist because the base games are cheap.
Live floors and the cashiers behind them
A live table is a video product with a real dealer and real equipment, and it costs the operator considerably more to run than software does. That cost shows up in table limits rather than in the odds.
The rules are what they are regardless of who is dealing. A single zero wheel is 2.7 percent whether a person or a random number generator is spinning it.
